The Marketing Mastery Program

The Marketing Mastery Program is a one-year business acceleration program for Independent Professionals.

This program is not for beginners in business. It is for those who already have achieved a certain level of success in their business and want to take it to a new level of success and achievement. The mastery program will include a wide range of professional service businesses, from coaches to consultants, accountants to executive recruiters, from designers to writers.

The Marketing Mastery Program is a one-year program conducted with a small group (8 to 12) of high-level professionals who are looking for the next level of marketing tools, hands-on coaching and peer support.


Marketing Mastery Program Objectives

1. To take your business to the next level (whatever that is for you). In the first stages of the program you will create a focused vision and specific goals for your business, including financial and project goals.

2. To focus on developing and marketing a High-End, Outcome-Based program to offer to your clients. The goal of this program should be to generate $100K or more of income in the first year.

3. To become proficient in all the Seven Principles of Marketing as outlined in The Action Plan Marketing Fast Track Program. To learn and implement marketing strategies which attract the ideal clients to your business.

4. To create a momentum in your business and marketing that is unstoppable. This includes mastering the art of "Getting Unstuck" so that no circumstances, either external or internal can stop you. You will gain the ability to be detached from obstacles and engaged in moving forward.

5. To have balance in your life. This means managing your time and energies so that you run your business, your business doesn't run you. It also means loving your business and making a lasting contribution to your clients and community.

The structure of the program includes:

1. Two group sessions by teleconference per month. Each meeting will be approximately 90 minutes long. Sessions will be recorded if you need to miss a session.

2. One (or more) small group meeting per month with your "Power Group" of 3-4 program participants.

3. A minimum of one individual meeting with Robert Middleton by telephone each month.

4. A Marketing Mastery Report sent to Robert every month, logging the progress in implementing your Marketing Plans.

5. Participation in the Action Plan Marketing Club - using the materials and resources in the Club as needed.


Prerequisites for the Mastery Program:

The primary prerequisite to the program is that you have a successful business and are attracting clients on a regular basis. Before you begin your participation in the program, you'll want to obtain the following Action Plan Marketing products and programs. They are the foundation on which the Mastery Program is built.

• Membership in the APM Marketing Club. The Marketing Club includes the Fast Track to More Clients Program and a wealth of other marketing tutorials and resources.

The InfoGuru Marketing Manual - This gives a big picture overview of marketing and includes many detailed action plans for several marketing strategies.

The Web Site ToolKit - This is a hands-on tutorial for creating an information-rich web site that will become your marketing hub.

If you don't have these already, you can get them before the Mastery Program starts in the Spring of 2009. You don't have to have applied all the strategies in these programs, but it's important that you have them as they are the foundation of the Marketing Mastery Program.


What Makes the Mastery Program Different?

The key difference in this program is the level of the participants. This is not a marketing program for beginners. It is for those who already have substantial business success. It is also for those who have already applied the Action Plan Marketing principles to their businesses. They have a web site, they are attracting clients and they are growing.

So why do professionals at this level need a program like this?

Because you want to take your business to places that your current efforts will simply not get you. You know the kind of work it took to get your business to where it is now. It wasn't easy. And along the way, you got support in the form of books, programs, coaching and workshops. (Or perhaps you were one of the rare few who did it mostly on their own.)

What I discovered (a lot later than a I wish I had), is that some kind of structured support makes all the difference. But not all support is created equal. Some support is rather random, with a few ideas and inspiration here and there. This might be good for a business just getting started, but isn't sufficient to build a solid business that brings in a substantial income month in and month out for years on end.

Then what kind of support is required?

1. Information and advice on specific how-tos. This can take the form of studying courses, attending programs, and individual consulting.

2. Clarity, direction and accountability. This usually takes the form of coaching to help focus plans of action and progress towards one's goals.

3. Troubleshooting and "moral support." This takes the form of facilitating people to get past barriers, hurdles, and limiting beliefs that are holding one back.

4. Peer group idea and resource sharing. You won't get where you want to go alone, but with the support of others.

We tend to go only as far as our current knowledge, plans and limitations.

With new knowledge, plans and attitudes, what we can accomplish is virtually unlimited. Sadly, very few people even reach a fraction of their potential in their businesses (or other areas of their life, for that matter).
